November 1989 at the inner-German border. The regime-loyal GDR border guard Rudi and his system-weary comrade Frank observe potential border violators. When the Wall unexpectedly falls in the evening, Rudi finds himself confronted with the death of socialism, fear and deep sadness. Delusional, he denies what happened and places a family on the death strip.
